Think my PSU can handle it?

All right, well I managed to get a 7800GT for dirt cheap (thanks PV for the cooler ) Specs are in my sig. Only thing that will be added is the 7800gt and possibly another 160gb SATA HDD. I did a rough check on the PSU calc and got 409W for my system, but you can't know for sure. Think my TruePowerII 430W can continue to do the job or should I try to get another one? Worst comes to worst I use the extra 500W SmartPower I have laying around.

whats the peak load and amps per 12v rail on that cpu?

Specs say 17A per rail (2 rails) but obviously can't have that at the same time. I would guess it has a combined amp of 25A or so.

WC I`m wondering about how you figure 409w, out of interest.

It`s too bad the JourneySystem`s one is so out of date, but I figure:

CPU 90w+ ???

DVD Drives 25 each, 50w ?

Alledgedly 25w per HD, 3 or 4 (not sure if 160 in sig is the one added), 75 / 100w

It only shows a 6800 ultra @ 7xw, so u may figure 80w+ ??

8 fans @ ~2w each, 16w

memory ~30w+, no idea

Something like 341+ to 366+ pretty rough.

Just curious how you thought it out I guess m8y.
