Thermaltake Frio is better than a NHD14

well it is and it isnt, it does manage lower temps than any other cooler in the test and is the by far the closest air cooler I've seen tested to come close to a basic water cooling set (dont anyone dare mention anything by corsair or coolit, that aint wc)

But it manages it coz its basically got a couple of 25mm deltas strapped to it, hold on, its alright lads, they're blue LED ones!!, so its doesnt matter that your rapidly going deaf when its running at 12v, it looks cool so that makes up for everything lol....

Are you going to be reviewing The ThermalPLASTICRAP Frio OCK anytime soon Tom? Should be a good giggle to hear your thoughts on it

I very much doubt they will let me have one seeing as Ive been quoted as saying Id like to replace my other Frio doorstop as thats all its good for imho.

Oh and BTW the Frio comes no where near a D14 and Silver arrow no matter what speed the fans are

Were deltas strapped to the noctua as well though?

It's like saying a ford fiesta is faster than a veyron, having strapped a rocket to it.

It is a v good point and one that i wish someone one day will compile a bunch of test data for. When I said delta's they're not rly delta's, not sure what 3rd party brand of fans thermaltake re badged for this cooler but they do seem to be as loud as deltas.

At 7v idle in this test they recorded the fans at no less than 58db and at load a stonking 78db

awwwww, i think it would've made a great video of you shouting at the camera to try and be heard... in a another room in the house

If i weren't still imprisoned living at home with family, i'd use deltas on max, then route cables for everything to my room and leave the rig in another room. I can tolerate up to about 50db.

calling a cooler 'frio' is a bit silly tbh, makes you think 'fry-o', which is not what your cpu should ideally be doing o.O
