I think the Tower 900 was a fantastic case. The design really made cooling optimal.

I can see why they have continued the design approach with the 100

Is it just me that has a hard time in general with Thermaltake? After the whole CaseLabs fiasco?... I find it hard to take them seriously after that and even more so buy anything from them at all.

I haven't, i don't forgive Thermaltake anymore then i would forgive Creative for releasing intentionally crippled drivers back in the early years of windows 7. Thermaltake far to easily copies stuff and while material quality has gone up, i could never take them serious or let them of the hook for doing the things they did.

If I knew about the CaseLabs fiasco earlier, then I might not have gotten my Chaser case.

Still, the new colors look really nice and I could see a Master Chief helmet casemod with the Racing Green one, where you "simply" put a golden foil on the glass that's somewhat transparent and elongate the angled part above the front glass panel. Or a doomslayer helmet style.


Am I the only one who got an itch from the waterblocks not being in the correct orientation in some of those pictures?

They didnt take out caselabs. Caselabs admitted liquidation due to tariffs and a large company defaulting. I think I read somewhere that Trump is to blame for starting a tariff war with China. Their Tariff costs went up by 80%

If anything, Caselabs would have been laughing at the poor attempts to imitate their catalogue.

Very much this, TT's copycatting had nothing to do with Case Labs going under. In addition to the tariff thing, there was also speculation about some of the management choices too. That company started as a spin-off of a bigger company building server racks if memory serves, so PC cases was never their main source of income.

Its an odd orientation, but considering i had the TT900. It was the best temps I've ever experience in a case.

Radiators were decoupled at the rear pulling in cool air from 2x 480 and exhausted out the back. None of that warm air reached the hardware in the front.

And the heat produced from the mobo/GPU/CPU rose and was exhausted out of the top through 2x 140mm fan.

Hate them all you want, the air flow/temps in the 900 is better than most cases designed for air flow on the market. And you could orientate it horizontal. I guess you cant on the 100. I think i would still be using it if my urge to get the 1000D wasnt so great.
