Alright I've had enough of this.
I've tried numerous BIOS versions, etc.
My CPU must load @ 58ºC.
Why? It was warm today, and my computer has been freezing like a muthafucka when folding. Why? 58-59ºC load. It's not acceptable with Arctic Silver Ceramique, & a Thermalright XP-90.
So I put my stock cooler back in.
Bear in mind the Arctic Silver hasn't settled yet, 63ºC load.
Yes...I sit here and watch it climb to that, suprisingly not locking up.
If the AS settles and it runs about as warm as my XP-90 I don't know what I'mma do besides go POSTAL.
I've read a lot about warped XP-90 bases, and or defective heatpipes.
This may be the issue so first, I will RMA it.
If I get it back in tact, I'll install it and see if it makes a difference.
If not, one word.
Zalman.
Any advice here?
I'm sittin here with stock cooling typing this & it's reading 48-50ºC.
Case temp is 33ºC, PWMIC is 38ºC.
