I was wondering if it would make a difference to put some good TIM on my Crosshair IV's north and south bridges, and on my GPU? Would it void my warranty? Thanks!
Yeah I'd say that its probably a good idea. If only because all manufacturers tend to use cheap TIM that dries out eventually. Who knows it may drop your temps enough to eek a few extra MHZ out of your components
As for warrenty, I think you'd have to be extremely unlucky to have your RMA rejected because you replaced the tim.
Make sure you use non conductive stuff tho (not AS5),as that means that any spillage won't affect things too much. I replaced all the pads on my classified with TIM and it makes life a lot cooler. The southbridge shouldn't get too hot, but northbridges are always crying for better cooling.
