Thermal monitoring

Hi,

I have 3 temperature monitors in Windows open. They give different CPU readings.

The results:

ASUS Probe 2: 33

Core Temp: 39.37.41,36

Real Temp GT:39, 37, 41, 36

Core and Real differ often.

The CPU probe doesn't tell a different story each programme, I'm confused. I thought it would be a simple communication between them.

What to believe?

Aparently (I was told this a while ago when I noticed similar things) PC Probe only detects the temp at socket level and not at CPU level so it will naturally be a few degrees lower

Thanks. I read a TinyTom's post writing like Core Temp is more accurate than Real Temp.

I prefer Real Temp myself.

Yeah, there is quite a big difference between core temps and socket (which is also the one the BIOS reads). Best to use core temps.

Watch the BIOS ones, that should be correct, then compare. But as I see there, core&real temp gives you 2 temps, I imagine then you have a dual core CPU and that's the core temp, and Asus Probe may be giving the one for the IHS I imagine.

Try with everest, it should give every temp with name.
