The world has lost a true legend!

*facepalm*

On a serious note

The problem of self destruction. We should not be able to diminish this great human affliction until more people do understand it. Life has a depreciated seriousness. RIP

Apparently he was really into building his own pcs and PC gaming in general as well. :(

Yeah I heard that, he named his Daughter Zelda also, that says quite a lot really. He was quite the avid gamer I hear, Zelda does charity live stream as well.

The last thing he posted on Twitter was saying Happy 25th Birthday to her on the 1st of August, just shows how fast it can turn around :(

Yeah if you haven't seen bicentennial man.. you'll need a box of tissues..

Disclaimer: unless you're Seeka in which case, probably not so much

He would probably laugh at that film

Just saw a news article that stated Lauren Bacall has passed away from a stroke age 89.

Another good one gone :(

At lest she went at a good age, Robin was way too young.

You can celebrate someone alive, then it at least means something to someone. Mourning the death of someone who is like one level above a stranger doesn't do anything for anyone.

This might be foreign to you but in the human world it's called celebrating that persons life after they are gone, Robin Williams was a large part of a lot of peoples childhood hence why a lot of people feel sad that he is gone.

If you can't accept that basic human trait then I worry for you.

For the people that care, A nice fan tribute to Robin Williams :)

If it takes a person's death for you to celebrate them then that person couldn't have meant nearly as much to you as you suggested.
Also there is a massive difference between celebrating the work of a person and writing "RIP :'(((((((" everywhere.
Even his family said that they'd prefer it if people focussed on his life instead of his death.
I've got no problem with people reminiscing about a beloved actor, but that pointless RIP spam is annoying as hell and definitely not genuine.

You seriously need a to get laid, Your depressing as hell.

It was only just over a week ago I introduced my little 10 year old cousin to Robin Williams with the film Hook and shortly there after Flubber, Both childhood favorites.

Just because fans of his work don't scream his name from the rooftops 24/7 doesn't mean his work is not though of often, You might want to remember that.

And suddenly his 'fans' have to scream about it from the rooftops?
As said before, i have no problem with people valuing his work, people who actually appreciated him. But the flood of people who spam social media with RIP aren't valuing his work, they are just annoying.
I'm not being depressing, i am questioning stupid habits in our society. I remember Michael Jackson's death, people who knew like two songs of his were suddenly his biggest fans. Why do we always have to blow the death of celebrities out of proportion, i doubt he would've wanted this.

You do know what RIP means don't you ?

It's called paying respects to someone you liked and since most of us can't pay our respects by visiting his grave this is the best we can do.

If you don't like any of this then simply don't post, Just because you come in here and don't like it doesn't mean the rest of us should bow to your wishes, You really are acting very cold and depressing, More so than usual lately.

Seriously dude get a grip.

I have to say I agree with SeekaX on a remarkable amount of things. I think I might be... a German, is that possible should I get checked out?

Not German no, Just cold with no compassion for other human beings and the emotional range of a toaster ^_^

I do have an inability to feel compassion for someone who takes their own life, his family maybe, his fans not really. The toaster always seems pretty happy sitting in the kitchen so i'm cool with that, i'm gonna get sad if the toaster dies now.

What pisses me off about the whole RIP thing with Williams is that people were alot less compassionate when they found out he took his own life and had a history of mental issues/drug abuse. People still have that mental illness= weakness/ second class citizen belief it seems.

Victorian ass mofos.

I think the mental issues/drug abuse makes it even more of a shame tbh, a lot of his life he has suffered inside and it got to the point of self destruction. The reason he is so missed by people is the whole nostalgia as everyone loved him as a character and they feel like a part of them has died.

it's no different to how we and the media blow their lives out of proportion mate, except now they're dead so there's no-one to apologise to. Unfortunately it's part of the human condition for quite a few people these days

Agreed, I kinda understand some people's views on this but to put him down when he was suffering through it while still being such a beloved entertainer is just a little harsh. He struggled with and got out of some bad shit, it just took too much of a toll on him it seems :(

THe whole mental health stigma thing really grinds my gears.

When substance use and depression are in the picture for the person dealing with it, It can be the hardest thing to seek help and the easiest and fastest route to get rid of the pain is THAT route and it's a problem which sadly cannot be cured in a quick fashion.
I know people who have gone through this type of thing and even to witness it for a short amount of time is truly heart wrenching :(
