The Witcher 3, An Open World on Fire

The Witcher 2: Assassins Of kings, released in 2011, was a popular game which also was famous for being a slayer of all but the highest end PCs.

Yesterday CD projekt released a new trailer featuring all in game renderings of their sequel The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a game primed to be one of the most exciting releases of 2014.

Spoiler alert, the visuals are breathtaking.

Enjoy

This game promises to be a graphical powerhouse like is predecessor, will it bring the largest open world than CD Projekt has ever made to date. Are our PC ready? Will it Slay the Titans of this world? Will The Witcher make a triumphant return to the OC3D Bench Suite? Only time will tell.

I am personally really looking forward to this game.

The only two games that I can't wait for : The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 2.
One thing I love about CDProjekt is that when you buy a physical copy of their game they give you some "gifts". For example Witcher 2(normal edition with normal price, not premium/legendary crap) came with user manual, game guide, map of The Northern Kingdoms, pamphlet and coin, bonus dvd, game soundtrack and of course the game. Not to mention that they didn't charge for any DLC.
That being said I will definitely buy it.

Liked this trailer more

I'm really looking forward to TW3 and DS2 as well, only two games i'm actually interested in getting so far next year. The Withcher 1 is one of my favourite games ever, I didn't think 2 was as 1 but it was still a good game. I still have Iorveth's side of the game to play though, I did Roche's when I played it last.

TW3 is on a whole new level though, it looks amazing and it's supposed to be massive. In terms of game world size it's supposed to even be bigger than Skyrim.

looks bloody good. and considering that CD projekt are some of the last devs which haven't lost their dignity i will look into buying this.

well your ram is pretty much for poor people, i mean 1866MHz, that's just sad.
and your GPUs are just pathetic, don't you have any dignity left?

Got a pair of 780's sat waiting for a re-plumb bro ;) As for the ram.. *shrug*

I seriously don't think that's actual gameplay... no way someone from this age is running that in real time, it's almost definitely a pre-render.

Parts of the trailer in the OP look like pre-rendered cgi and parts look like actual gameplay (the walking through the forest and fighting bits in particular).

Oh my bad, that video is real gameplay, what isn't is the video Snortan posted... I guess I should have made that clear :P

I bought 1 and 2 in the steam autumn sale. Will start to play as soon as I have some time. The 3 looks great from the trailer!!

It must be just me, but I could never really get into the 2nd Witcher Game, I think I got bored of it somewhere through the 1st act.

I probably should give it a shot again, since all I hear about it is quite positive.
