The UK's worst ISP has come up with the Uk's best connection admitedly for a price but for some reason the upload doesn't match the down:mad:

EDIT: I am told that hyper optic provide a faster connection in London into flats and businesses; well almost the best connection

price:£100
DOWN: up to: 350 mb/s
UP:MINIMUM: 20 mb/s
monthly alowance:750GB
Provider: KC/karoo/KCOM
conection via: fibre to home (FTH)

erm I think I'm gonna move just so i can get this connection but at £1200 a year it is pricey and only available in east yorkshire and you have to have a FTH conection but 750GB would fill my entire laptop in 36 minutes this conection is enough to satisfy any ones up coming needs for 3D 4K porn LOL

generally speaking universities have somesort of high speed connection to a exchange purpose built for them i have no idea for you but i think the university has some sort of KC fiber buisness package which existed before they rolled out fibre for buisness and home usage

hyperoptic only connect to flats i missed them I'll (I'd never heard them before) edit the thing thanks for the correction. Sorry :(

But the people that this connection is available to only have 1 choice of ISP which is the people that provide the connection b

I'm fairly certain they don't just do flats but I think it's that they won't just FTH one house alone. If you live in a house you have to get a proportion of your street to sign up and want it and they'll do it. But if it's only your house that wants it form the whole street they won't do it.

I haven't done any research but I know of a few people who have it and I believe that's how it works but I could be wrong.

go here and the Q&A https://hyperoptic.com/web/guest/faq and look under who can get it. I think it implies that only complexes ie flats or shared accommodation I can't tell for certain though it isn't that clear

Q: Why is your service not available to all properties?
A: The cost to install a fibre connection to the building can be expensive; at the moment it's just not feasible to do this for individual properties. By targeting multi-connected units a single fibre connection into a property can be made affordable.

So, there you go.
