Wow, i didn't think my day could possibly get any worse (see my thread in off topic forum) until this shit happened. I was actually quite excited to see this box until I reviewed the contents.

This dumb stupid retard motherfucker needs to go to packaging 101... He dumped both procs in an anti-stat bag, dropped em in to a box w/o protection and 2 large copper heatsinks, then underfills the box with styrofoam peanuts. That's the perfect recipe for disaster.... 2 heavy objects not secured in a box with 2 delicate unprotected processors. Well you can guess what the pins on the procs look like... FUCKING SHIT, that's what!

Look for yourself... I already wrote this dickweed a nasty email about his shit packaging and am requesting a refund.

Sorry XMS, looks like i'm gonna hafta re-order the procs from a more reliable seller, because this one looks unusable. I don't even feel like hassling with sending it to you just to find out that it doesn't work. This is completely unexcusable, he's gonna get this shit torn off in his ebay feedback.

Keep an eye out for a set of 2.4 Xeons!!!

its unbeleivable how stupid someone can be to do such a thing :jerkit:

i hope you get a full refund or another 2 proccies mate, coz that seriously sucks t3h fat wang  :cussing:

That's what I feel like doing... He'll they wouldn't arrive in much different shape than the way they came to me.

I filed a claim with PayPal and have them working to get my damn money back. We'll see what happens.

goodluck getting it back mate :)

Just for fun I thought I'd share our little email conversation....

My first email alerting seller of damaged goods:

Matt,

I received the processors today... In a manner which I wish I wouldn't

have. Your packaging skills are sub-par sir. No bubble-wrap whatsoever

around the processors, loosely floated in an underfilled box of peanuts

with 2 heavy heatsinks to bash in to them. In the end, one processor is

unusable do to extreme pin bendage. This is unacceptable. Please send

me a return address to which I can send these for a refund of my money.

Included are pictures of the one mangled processor when it arrived at my

doorstep.

His reply:

Hello,

I am deeply sorry this happend. I thought I gave it enough packing, but it must have really had a rough ride through the USPS. Unfortunately since you did not request insurance (it was optional as said in my auction), there isn't much I can do. My end is to get it to the post office with delivery conformation, when my customers don't ask for insurance they wave any right to a refund unless I send the wrong package. I know you must be extremely frustrated, but these things happen.

-Matt

Ooooh no I know he didn't just fucking tell me that "these things happen."

My reply to his shit reply:

This was not USPS's fault... You had no protection around the processors AT ALL. I'm the store manager for a UPS Store locally and I know proper packaging guidelines as it's pretty much my entire life. So, there IS something you can do, that would be give me a refund for your poor packaging skills. This has nothing to do with USPS, the box is in great condition, and had a pretty easy ride. If you wish to pursue this matter legally I'd be happy to start the process.

-Matt

I'm gonna bury this fucktard...

fuck man, that sucks real bad.

i wouldnt worry bud, this will get sorted but its just a pain in the ass

Hopefully PayPal will be speedy about their business... I'm lookin to get that money back so I can order up another pair or processors. Hopefully this time from someone that doesn't have the IQ of a circus freak.

Wish me luck *crosses fingers*

The worst part about the deal is that these procs are Intel Engineering Samples.... They were gonna be sooooo goood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I found somewhere on the net that does pin repairs really cheap in the US (and if the processor is still fucked u dont have to pay).

Is it not worth sending it there, and giving the guy the bill?

Link me Jimbo... Might be worth a shot. I have a feeling that these procs are monster overclockers being that they're engineering samples :D

I'm going see what paypal says first, see if they think they can pull this one through for me (i dont see why they cant, its quite clear that the seller is a fucktwit)
