The ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN delivers lightning-fast 1440p Gaming with IPS panel

Now I'd be interested to see the overall ghosting and black smear of these ultra fast IPS monitors. VA has that problem and pushing IPS to these limits might reveal deficiencies as well

Indeed. The technological change that ASUS has made with their display manufacturer are very interesting. It should help to tackle smearing, but would love to see that tested properly.

What is up with their naming though... It's like every company is trying to make it as hard as possible to remember their products names lol.

It's like you go into a store to ask for this monitor, "yeah, I'd like that ASUS ROG GA27Q..... What's it called again?..."

There is just too many monitors. It's hard to think of a good name for something like that.

I see your point, but why not just name it PG27X360 instead for example? Atleast that has some logic to it, in comparison to PG27AQN? What does AQN even mean/stand for?...

And what do they do about the x360 revisions? e.g. PG278, then came the PG278Q, Then the PG278UD. already its going back to out of control naming.

Alot of the time these letters that mean nothing to use, mean something to them. AQN might be AU optronics display for all we know. Or QN could be some panel revision.

I completely agree with you on the naming needing to be simpler, but its just not easy. GPUs are even worse. At least montitors have letter abbreviations not complete names.

Their letters certainly mean something, like PG being pro gaming, UD being ultra def or similar, X being gaming
