I am totally in love with the CryEngine 2.

I used to be a huge fan of the Unreal engine until this came alone.

I was blown away by its graphics size and complexity.

And that article just makes me WOW more.

I know, Crysis is a trilogy - there is a quote of Crytek head honcho saying for the next two they are going to focus on graphics. WTH!

Maybe A.I should be their foucs!!!

Another random fact: One palm tree in Crysis has more tech than the whole of FarCry!

They should bloody leave the graphics.. stick with AI and gameplay for the time being..

Let some other games catch up and then pull out the big Graphic guns again.

Meh, wasn`t that impressed with it tbh. Get to a safe distance for u and thrash everything with whatever large weapon the area has. Easiest would be the boat ones. Even tho the guy speaking in ur ear suggests being stealthy.

Dynamics are good, didn`t like the AI particularly.

Nice how u can shoot the birds flying in the sky Concentrate on something else tho.

It`s important to bare in mind that the large numbers are what it`s `capable of`. As ur pc maybe capable of housing 16g.

I`d like to know, for the record, what pc spec they use to get the pictures (assuming their not still rendered pictures) that appear in the screenies.

Chances are that they stick to their standard screen res which they think is 1024x768 or 1280x1024. But I hear of people with extreme 20k+ 3dmark06 scores maxing everything except the likes of AAAAA.

Doesn`t use my quad as much as I was told it was going to either, nor the memory.

Now if only they would render earth at 468 times the size and shrink it down for an enormously high res, that would look cool

Idk why they never released the ultra high settings though. The game still has things that can make it look better as seen in the editor.

Aye some of the editor images are amazing but you get like ~15fps with a GTX.

Well i personaly can run everything on high and get around 50-60 fps with a rez of 1680 by 1050

is there a way to make everything go to VERY High? in windows XP?

If you want to run Crysis at 'very high' settings under Win XP then just use the cvars hack
