The Official SysXtreme Christmas 2005 Thread!

Celebrating XMas with dad's side of the family tomorrow. Hope I get some nice goodies (namely Diamondback, an XP-something, and F.E.A.R. :D)

And ya, no tree for us :p To much of a hassle I guess or something
 
Ohhh... Christmas! I share an advent calender with my daughter (got a Cadbury's one... yummy, but are living room is so warm the chocolate is in a half-melted state!), the tree has been up since the 29th November, and I finished nearly all my Christmas shopping at the end of November (however, since my daughter's birthday is Boxing Day, they keep sending money for me to get more presents for her with. Arg!).

We'll be having a lovely gammon joint for Christmas dinner, which my partner will prepare while my daughter and I are at Church (I'm religious, he isn't). I'll also be going to Church three times on Christmas Eve... silly me joined the choir :p

I'm glad my daughter is old enough now to appriciate Christmas a bit more (last year she was 1 on Boxing Day and didn't understand what was going on). She's getting a trampoline... she likes bouncing!
 
Well I think I am getting quake 4 I know I am getting this book called Eldest it's the sequel to another book called Eragon which although it's dragon's and shit it is the best book I have ever read.
 
Ya, the Eragon series is supposed to be hella good. Haven't read it myself, but I've heard good things :D . The author was like an 18 year old or something :eek:

Well, we celebrated, had some nice cheesecake :D Got $80 and Funyuns. Basically, I gotta shop for my own gift :D Prolly going to go to a SI-120 with Panaflo (what speed you think?) and Razer Diamondback, or FEAR maybe. Depends what else I get later :D
 
Well, I got a couple choices to make.

With the money I got, I'm gonna get a new hsf. I'm debating between the XP-120, XP-90C, and the SI-120. Right now I'm leaning towards the SI-120 because I won't have to deal with the XP-90C's weight issue (taking it off whenever I move the comp) and it's easier to install than the XP-120 with the same cooling power.

Also, what speed fan should I put on it? Panaflo low or medium speed? My cousin said I should just go with low speed because medium wouldn't make much of a difference.

I'm also going to prolly by a gaming mouse (or my dad is looking into one for me, I'm not sure). Which would you say is better: Razer Diamondback (prolly go with Plasma LE cause it looks just plain tight) or Logitech MX518. I tried a Diamondback for a bit, and I liked the grip. However, my dad said he read reviews that said the MX518 was better, that it came out later and fixed all of the problems that the Diamondback had.

Well all three of us have advent calanders here. James has a simpsons one and me and paige have barbie (cool). Tho i have been tempted to eat all mine in one go (baby craves choc)

I cant say iwhat i got jim on here of course (dur) but i did get him "need for speed most wanted" he knows and has already played it he was hovering when i bought it. But still have lots of suprises for him.

our tree has been up for about a fortnight no other decs tho.
