The new toys

I managed to scrape some money together for a new pair of cans... a decent pair. I read mixed things about the beats, but being heavily influenced by their aesthetics, I decided to drop the cash and get a pair. I can only wish I still had my xonar D2X, as the sound quality even off my laptop is stunning.

Hmm, I wonder how much I can get for a chewed liver, maybe enough for some beats myself xD

Nice looking headphones, but do you not feel there really light? With your budget , the AKG K701's would have been my preference

They do feel a little light, it's not too bad though. It took me ages to decide to get these, I did look at others but all the reviews said the beats had awesome sound quality and I wanted the looks.

Unlike other things though, audio products don't fall 'out of date' quickly, so they should last me a good while.

Im still not sure if I made the right decision with them. I've heard a lot of mixed things, the revews seem good, but audiophile forums not so good...

Ill have to make my own mind up in time.

Tend not to listen too much to audiophile people tbh. U do tend to get alot of self justification about how their product is better than another, usually just cos they have it. Or that 1 product is better cos some1 they know said their good, but neither of them have actually heard them. Then u get that with alot of things pc component rel8d also.

£220 - but u will be paying a premium for Dr.Dre. Just as if u bought a fatal1ty psu or similar.

Best thing to always bear in mind - if ur happy with them, the product gets 5 stars across the board. :)
