looks good :)

i remember a while back when i built a system like that, was actually quite fast, even ran vista quite fast :)

thanks for the feedback dudes! yea i plan to get another gig of ballistix in there and a GFX card in time

must be honest apart from encoding DVD's etc iv not noticed much of a performance increase over my old P4

passmark score for it is 498 which aint bad i think for a budget pc

my P4 was 198 haha

iv seen 8800 GT's on ebay for about 100 quid are these the budget 8800's or are they ok?

Don`t know that u necessarily need to ebay a great 8800 card, but certainly a cheap 8800 card would top the system off nicely. And what`s more, if u did ever decide to upgrade mobe/cpu, the gfx card isn`t exactly a slouch.

There`s little point in getting the fastest 8800 perhaps, but the chepest 8800 u can find will be good enough.

The Foxconn mobo is a pcie supporting board aint it ?

you can either get that 8800, or you could get an 8600 or 9600 which are the value versions, or alternatively you could get somthing like an ATi 3650 or 3450

or other such card from ATi :)

hey

yea it has PCIe

is the 9600 dual GPU? im abit off touch with gfx cards, my days were the 9800 pro/geforce 4 days lol

if thats a dual GPU gfx card then thats a bargain, is it better than a 8800?

got afew more pics as thats a really crap set of pics above lol!

the 9600 is the cheaper version of the 9800

like the 8600 is the cheaper version of the 8800

the 8800GT would kick the 9600's ass lol

the 8800gt can be had pretty cheap as well these days, from about 100 to 160 seems to cover all models

yep, 8800GT is the balance of power and price

the 9600 i believe maybe has a few more features with it being newer, but the 8800GT would blitz it on general power..

I got this one not so long ago, great deal

BFG 8800GT 512MB OC2 @ 675 Core / 1950 Memory / 1675 Shader.

So far I have gotten mine up to 702 Core / 2016 Memory / 1728 Shader. It works like a beauty! :D

Some links in my sig if you wanna see.

Nice little computer there bud, as everyones said, slap a nice card in there and your sorted, theres an endless choice for cards, and they all have their ups and downs, and are all constantly being challenged by rivals and new releases. An 8800 would be great imho, had 2 so far and they have performed better than expected. ;)

By today`s standards, and the not so vast casm between the gfxcard generations, that price is a steal.

Zotac 8800GT for £94.97 including delivery. 660mhz core (600mhz standard), standard shader and memory, but it should oc just fine.

Edit: I can't believe I paid £165 for a 8800GT in December lol.
