Hi all,

Decided to put up a few shots (albeit bad ones) of the current build I am working on. Not far from finished by a few things I need to complete or not too happy about.

The design is based on the Warhammer 40k Army "The Necrons". The reasoning behind this is that a good friend of mine was a Necron fanatic. Sadly he passed away this year, and so I thought it would be a great way to pay tribute to his passion by using his army as inspiration.

Just a couple of pics of the miniatures so you get the feel or the idea of it.

PSU: Seasonic 850W Ultra Quiet
Soundcard: Xonar Essence STX (missing from case at the moment)
HDD: 2 x Samsung 840pro 120gb in Raid0
1x Samsung Ancient model of forgetfullness 500gb HDD @ 7200rpm
Fan controller: Lamptron CW611

Waterware: ;)

CPU: EK supremacy
Rad 1: EK XTX 360 Rad with EK fans
Rad 2: EK XTX 240 Rad with Corsair SP fans
Pump: Swiftech MCP 35x
Tubing: EK HD Tubing 16/19mm + additional from local store (Plastekompaniet)
Fittings: Various EK PSC fittings 90,45 degree and EK HD Male/Female acrylic tube connectors.
GPU: 2x EK GTX Titan full waterblocks
Reservoir: EK X3 25cm Multi option

One thing I am currently impressed with is my choice of TIM. Decided on the Cool Laboratory Liquid pro. This stuff is phenomenal. Noticed my GPUs have dropped an additional 6Celsius and CPU dropped by 8C after switching from the MX4 paste. (IHS is lapped and crappy paste replaced with Liquid pro in between the die and IHS) As well as between cpu and waterblock.

Anyways, sorry for the bad pictures. I didn't have the lense I wanted to use as its been borrowed by someone.



The annoying white cables of the UV lights above, will be hidden soon once I drill a hole in the centre of the mid panel I made.








The OCD in me needs to readjust the higher tube so its parallel with the other.







I just find this UV green Mesmerising ;)



Double barrel whammy!





Here is one most people usually are afraid to show. The cable management. As you can see, mine isn't that great but will be sorted once I get my PSU cabling sleeved.


Things on my to do list still.

PSU cable sleeving: Plan to get these done soon. Hopefully PEXON can fulfill my wishes :)

Re-colour the heatsinks on the Memory. I'm undecided on what colour. I'm thinking either black so they are not visible in the dark, or UV green so they stand out. I'm not one for going with 4 sticks. 2 is enough so maybe the UV green won't be OTT.

Recut the entire Acryllic back panel so it is one piece. If you notice the separate cuts this is because of a disaster crack in the sheet that occured. Sadly I had the last sheet from the supplier so had to make do with what I could.

I also plan to cover the rear panel as well.

SLI bridge connector. Currently working on an acryllic connector to cover those nasty looking asus bridges.

Fantastic build, I actually just recently converted from my Orks to some necron goodness, Cant escape the green skins/Metal ^_^

As a fellow lover of the colour green I'll share some pics too, Dont worry I'm not hijacking your thread :) WARNING Razer Heavy :p

lovely work. Just get some new heatsinks on that RAM and a black SLI bridge and you're set!

Yup its on my To do list. I can't decide on whether I should go black or green for the RAM heatsinks.

Yup fallout dust from the Acryllic cutting. Everytime I clean it up I just see more settle...

My biggest gripe is what everyone will comment on though. The nasty SLI connectors. I'll probably just use an offcut of the smoke green acryllic i used on the rear panel until i finish the Nvidia logo for it.

just one question though y 2 sli bridges??? ya only need one the other is redundant.

Very nice looking build , I really like your tubing layout , very clean and symmetrical.
I have to agree on black for the ram , and it shouldn't be that hard to find a black sli bridge.
Great Job on the build.

Yeah I know the other is redundant. Basically the idea I have in mind is to make an Nvidia logo to cover the bridge. Having a single sli connector covered seems somewhat "skinny"

When you look at tripple SLI connectors they are nice and bulky and you have more room to create something when its doubled up. I had both plugged in to assist the "creative" thinking so to speak.

I tested it last night with some good ol' Games workshop paint. And you are completely right. Green was too much. So black it will be.

Think I will try to create some kind of cover for the GPU gap and try to make use of some soft LED..somehow.

Biggest noob mistake of the year. Acryllic tubing and no drain point = Nighmare to bleed. Need to make something up for this also.

Im not a fan of parallel GPU hosing so would have done that bit slightly differently but the rest is pretty damn clean and well put together dude :)
 
Black RAM gets my vote. It's already pretty difficult to find green RAM, and even if you do, it probably won't match the green tubing/coolant very well.
 
Ok

Sprayed the RAM heatsinks black. Looks much better, thanks.

I made a temporary SLI bridge to hide the fugly connectors. Also made an extended piece to cover the gap between the GPUs.

Here lies my question.

I removed the GTX LED from the stock fan cooler and plugged it into the top GPU connector with the intention of having the GTX logo light up behind the dark acrylic cover I made. However the LED doesn't light up. I tried checking the LED config in that stupid geforce experience software but nothing seems to work.

When I removed it again and tried it with a 7v fan connector, it lit up (dimly) I didnt want to try the 12v connector for fear of damaging it. Any idea why using the actual default connector on the gpu it should have been in doesn't work?
My only assumption is that it could be a faulty connector. I never had a chance to use the GPU on the stock cooler as I bought the waterblock and GPU same day.
 
You should have installed the gpu's with the stock coolers and used them for a while to make sure everything worked first before installing the waterblocks.
You may have to rma the gpu. Hopefully their both EVGA cards.

Took the LED light apart and re-soldered the connections and we have light.

Decided to try out a GPU cover with the GEFORCE LED attached temporarily with some Blu Tac ;)

Coloured the memory heatsinks black and they almost fade into the background. Just need to rub them down and add a few matt coats to make it smooth.

Made a quick SLI bridge connector too so there is no more ugly asus brown strips showing.

Last piece for me to do really is to remove the PCI brackets at the back and cover them like I did above/below the rear fan.

Quite nice that the green smoke acrylic makes the geforce LED the same colour as the coolant :)

All the parallel tubing looks so swish :D I normally prefer GPUs in series in the loop, but it would have broken some of the parallelness so I agree that it's better to run it parallel in this case :)
