So they'll take £700 out of your bank account today with actual delivery still months away.

It won't take many to do that before they start earning a nice amount of interest for themselves on your money.

Much cheaper than they were back in the late 80's, but still expensive enough for few to actually buy. Until VR becomes a mainstream thing and the prices are low enough for the masses it is never going to take off (again) the only areas I see this tech working is production, demonstration or education people buying these solely for gaming are morons with very deep pockets. It won't be long before you see units on feebay going relatively cheap.

Don't knock it till you've tried it. :P Agree it's still fairly high on the expensive scale, but man.. it's game changing.

I look forward to trying Elite with this. I have held off on playing it for using VR. Would you recommend trying it in non-VR first?

I tried ED at a mates house on his DK2 and it was fantastic, Not suitable for every game type though IMO.
