The EU now plans to completely abolish mobile roaming charges

I heard they are now going to limit it by data consumption instead :S

Great to hear about the roaming charges though, always makes me weary when I am abroad, even though I know I have it all turned off.

How much do you have to pay? I currently have to pay like 6c per MB, it's fairly okay.

This may be a very political/topical question but with the recent Brexit thing for the UK, will this free roaming still apply do you think? Or did i just answer my own question?

Well you haven't left the EU yet, so it'll still apply as long as you are in it. After that, probably not, the UK government can't regulate prices outside of their jurisdiction. There would have to be a deal between the UK and the EU for that to happen.

EU nanny state getting involved where it shouldn't. This is the responsibility of businesses to cater to those that require this. For those that don't go abroad much (eg the poorer in society) this will push their bills up with the phone companies being forced to cover the costs of phone usage across the continent.

Great so now rich business execs, MEPs, and expats can communicate for much cheaper so bills will probably get pushed up for the poorer people who don't travel around, sounds brilliant.

The EU has regulated roaming prices before and it hasn't lead to a price increase. Also you are in a contract with your provider which can't just be changed.
