The difference between a mach 2 st and the mach 2 gt

Can anyone tell me what is different between these 2 models? I take it the GT is the better but is there a big performance gap between them?

Yup, the ST is a cut down model like those graphics cards from ATi - um, the SE.

The GT has the USB and Control Centre, and connect display which is very useful in my eyes :)

Some one else can confirm this all for you, I have never owned an ST but they can be converted...

Yeah, i have (or originally it was) an ST unit. Earlier in the year i fitted the GT controller which can handle the LCD display and the USB connection. Although you have got to make up your own USB patch cable. I have just fitted several minutes ago :P the LCD display. Although at the moment there is no display, i am suspecting that i need to change the firmware on the control board.

Well to be honest i aint sure. This setup now is the 1st time i've been happy with it in the 18 months that i've had it. well last few months actually i've been happy with it. Im only using a 64bit 3000 venice core, so its at a low 1.8GHz, but apparently my evap head is at about -55 to -65, i found that you need to use ALOT of heat transfer compound on the evap head to make sure its effective. Sometimes i even get ice forming on the pipe leading to the evap head :S i've even had to cover the top of my GFX card with seal string to protect it effeciently against water droplets! but without owning a GT i cant honestly compare
