The main reason for this is my bordem in work, but still think itl be prety cool to find out how everyone got into css (and 1.6) and there expieriances of first time play.

My first was when my bro had his mates round for a LAN party and he let me hava go on cs 1.6 map was de_train, and i got :0wned:, still a good laugh tho, only played it that once untill i found a mate had css, so went ova his and was hooked from there on. Orderd game that night and was a css noob by the weekend later

I played CSS in the beta days when HL1 was first out. Then I stopped and then picked up 1.6 version which I like.

Once again another small lull and I got HL2, loved it and loved CSS too.

I'm not too bad at 2k4 - even did "ok" against you when I hadn't played it for ages.

Pretty damn good at Quake 3 too

Hmm... I bought a 1.6 account for $10 on eBay. Then, I borrowed a CSS account from a friend I made online. Another of the friends had an extra key he was going to give me, but he was too lazy to ever go and find it. I've been using the borrowed account ever since

Since about 05, I used to play the old DOD all the time and very little CS. Since source I've been playing CSS all the time and only a bit of DOD:S.

The only thing I liked in CS was the shield

Got into cs 1.6 early on, played it as it developed, but manly at LAN's. Got a connection fast enough to play online and did so for a little while until I ventured off to play other games. Bought HL2 as soon as it came out, pretty much just for CSS; and played it ever since and here I am.

went to a game cafe with a friend of mine, Already heard stuff about cs so i thought id give it a go was hooked right away.

I bought Half Life 2 back in 2005, it came with css but I never bothered with it, then I joined OC3D and found out about their css server.

Installed css and had a little play, got totally owned for a good few months but stuck at it and here I am now

I must say Jiffz is the one who really got me into it though, he showed me the ways of the "ninja" :worship:

Bought HL2 and CS:S when SX first started up their server. My game sux on the UK server simply because a 350 ping makes me uncompetitive; but I have fun, which is what it's all about as far as I'm concerned. Play me on an Australian (of whom WC is the only one to make the effort ) server and the result is much more favourable.

Ditto and Q4! We'll have to find a server some time where our ping is comparable, and have some fun.

I was over Ares' house and he had so I played it a bit. Then when i was at the mall i saw the game and got it. Great game.

My friend had half life 2, he told me to get it and that it had this cool game called counter strike source...I played half life 2 primarily until i discovered css I then followed my clan into the 1.6 community (back-to-front lol) and I preferred its gameplay to the css. It was just such a good game for trying to get better, css i dont find has enough gap between "n00bs" and "pr0s"

Aint really played Q4 online, but I'm sure I could hone my skills a bit
