temps need more rads?

I think you will find it controls how much power the cards can pull aswell as how much fans spin up now yes fans don't matter as you have pulled them off
from what I know it holds the card back wen thay hit there a preset thermal limit

which they never hit as its set to 80C and they never get above 45..

shall i get a 900D and 2 480 or a 900D and use my current rads?

i think we should try to solve the issue first as that's not really normal with the rad space you have and i'm quite curious myself why this is happening.

my brain's working, kinda!

the 900d is a great case but the question is if it's really necessary for you to spend that money

way to win a n000000n badge with that 120mm rad on the back lol

Way to win a n000000b badge by spelling noob wrong haha xD

Anyway, I have 1 240mm and 1 360mm raditaor both 60mm thick, with CPU @ 1.35V, and 2 stock 580s,
and during gaming with SP120 QE p/p on 100% I get CPU 65°C, GPU1 45°C, GPU2 40°C, so I don't think what you have is too bad really considering both your GPUs are overclocked, and your CPU is Ivy Bridge. If you're really bothered though, did you definitely seat the blocks on the CPU and GPUs well, using decent thermal paste?

I'm with this guy. My setup is very similar to Blair's, albeit with more rad space and not OCed as much. My GPUs couldn't hit 45C if I wanted them too. And I've roasted the system pretty good with a combo of Prime95 and Furmark with a Crossfire profile pushing both GPUs at 100%. I have no experience with EK blocks, but with Typhoons your temps should be quite a bit better considering your rad space.

furmark? you are a lucky man.

well my water flow is good and the termal paste is Arctic Cooling MX-4 and everything is mounted correctly.

What can possibly be the reason?

Not sure I get you. I've been using Furmark for years to stress GPUs, never had a problem.

No idea man. :( You've got great rads with great fans, good blocks / TIM, etc. Dumb question: did you flush those Alphacool rads out well before you installed them? I cleaned a LOT of gunk out of my 360 Monstas when I flushed em. They were filthy.

i rinsed everything before installing it

i really like the 900d so i might just get it and 2 480mm and maybe re sue my 240 lol if that doesnt lower the temp then some freaky shit going on here.

get the rads before the case as currently the 480 demand is left the shelves
bare at the moment.

Right got 900d with 2x 480mm rads and 1 240mm rad all 60mm thick temps are down about 10-14C on cpu alone and thats with one 480mm rad worth of fans reduced to 7v.

RESULT

cool. thats good news or me im about to add a 240 to me 2x360 setup in the hope is get a few degrees off. my 900d is about 8oC hotter than my switch was
