Temps i7 920 Bloomfield

Yo guys

Im wondering if my temps are alright - at idle my temps are at 40-42c
and in full load 60-62c - note this is on stock settings with a Corsair H70 with SP120's pushpull.
The reason why im wondering is because i see a lot of you guys saying "my temps on idle is 25-30" and stuff like that.

Thanks in advance.

well my i7 950 never goes below 40 @ 4ghz, somewhere in the 30's when stock. It all depends on the room temperature, if you're in a 30 degree room you can't expect to get less than 30 degrees minimum.

Also is the vcore in the bios set to auto? it might be set higher than needed and thus producing more heat than necessary.

ah fair enough mate. well it's not that its a big problem, im getting a i5 3570k and a mobo in the next couple of days. so its not cuz im gonna do anything about it. Just wanted to know :)

not a problem mate :)
Well, i've been playing around with the voltage trying to undervolt it. and it turns out that i can run it fully stable at 0.95 volts with 50-52c Max under full load - occt with linpack. so im quite happy with the results.

nice chip mate. I could run mine at stock at 1v, I don't remember if it could get any lower but temps where something like that too.

I live in Scotland and it was hot has hell yesterday and my i3 was 33-35 C idle, its nice when its -9c outside :/

My 950@4.2ghz with h100 with F12s(pwm@silent) on it idle at 35-40 and upto 70 when full load. I hate seeing people with 4.7ghz sandy/ivy chips at idle of 30 and loads of 60..envious.
