Temp graphics choice help

Hey guys. Im getting two wc'd gtx780s for my rampage 4 extreme when they come out. My pc shall be finished within the next 6 weeks i have a 2560x1440 monitor. What graphics card could i fire in it to get it running. Not maxed just enough to play teamfortress skyrim bf3. It doesnt need to be photorealistic mode just enough to look nice and run smooth at med/high settings. As little as possible.

At my 1920x1080 my 5850 does the job (nearly max or max on all games) so I'd probably recommend that

Should be possible to find a 2nd hand hd5970 at a reasonable price,and sell it again with a little loss.
