Once again thanks to "Punisher" from Xtreme Systems for this excellent comparison of peoples speeds with TCCD and Winbond UTT chips.

"+~300 Mhz" = for sure over 300 Mhz, except rarity.

"~-300 Mhz" = around 300 Mhz, largely under 300 Mhz.

"-300 Mhz" = under 300 Mhz of about 5*(2,)3,4,5(,6) Mhz except rarity.

With V-RAM ~2,85V and relaxed timings.

Winbond UTT vs TCCD (indicative comparison, not scientific):

  • Low Timings 2-2-2-X:

    Winbond UTT (260-265 Mhz 1T @ ~3,4V) > TCCD (235-240 Mhz 1T @ ~2,85V)
  • Medium Timings 2,5-3-3-X:

    TCCD (~300 Mhz 1T @ 2,85V) > Winbond UTT (263-268 Mhz 1T @ 3,4V)
  • High Timings 3-4-4-X:

    TCCD (+300 Mhz 1T/2T @ ~2,85V) > Winbond UTT (265-270 Mhz ~1T/2T @ 3,4V)
  • Consumption (max = at which voltage they give their max):

    TCCD: ~2,85V (max)

    Winbond UTT: +3,4V (max unknown)
Again thanks to Punisher. This makes interesting reading.

I should look into some of the Mushking Redline if I'm gonna run @ 237x12... I could pump some mad volts into and get some insane low timings out of it.

  Must get new ram!!!

I'm considering it very very hardly... The new redline looks unbeatable if ur not gonna try and un at like 300+mhz.

Yeah but make sure you rig up some active cooling if you're gonna blast some volts through it...it gets HOT

Already got it mate, mad fans sitting right over it, hehe. My entire case is a giant active cooler :D

Sure I answered this...but yeah I said I forgot how frags machine is a hurricane in a box ;)

there was a thread on xs somewhere saying that UTT/BH5 at 260mhz+ beats out TCCD even at 300 2.5-3-3-7

only TCCD is in front in theorhetical benchmarks like sandra

Well the fact is that BH5 and UTT can't do 300+ no matter what the timings are.... Which makes TCCD the dominant IC for anyone that needs that speed.

I meant comparing both overall

BH/UTT at 260 2-2-2-x will beat TCCD at 300 2.5-3-3-7 and TCCD doing 300 withh those timings is pretty hard to achieve

it depends what benchmark you do....

a clock speed benchmark would be better with the TCCD at 300 s your CPU would be higher clocekd.

a memory benchmark would have better results with tighter timings, even at lower speeds.

You're comparing two different things completely, lol. Your system performance would be much greater overall if you were to run the BH5 @ 260 and the TCCD @ 300 1:1 at the same multi.
