Taking a RAID array to another PC

To cut a long story short, my motherboard blew the other day and I wanted to get data off my hard disks. Unfortunately they're in a RAID 0 array, and whilst there are other SATA motherboards in the house, these two drives aren't being detected as an array. How can I get this to happen??

I didn't risk booting and then logging into windows in case the other PC's tried to read/write to the drives and corrupt everything on them. Simultaneously, I'm worried that the replacement motherboard of the same model might not detect it as an array either. Is there a way to get it to detect as an array on another PC? Or would I have to ask for the RAID bios to be pulled from my broken board to the replacement and wait for that to arrive before I can get to my files? :(

A couple of people have said if I simply wait until I can get hold of a device using the same SATA controller chipset as my AV8 I'd be able to use the array again... is this true, yeah?

in theory if the chipset is the same then it will read the instructions the same but unfortunately there are a lot more things that could go wrong. getting an identical board is your best bet fr now though.
