I need to attach the system panel connectors into my Asus P5WD2 Prem MB. I have looked at the MB book and still a bit puzzled. I have a Coolermaster CM690 case.
You should have received an adaptor with the motherboard that you attach all the fiddly wires to before attaching to the motherboard. It isn't strictly required but is often labelled so you know which wire goes where.
They usually come with all new motherboards so maybe yours has fallen out somewhere?
If not ring the people that sold you the board and ask them to send them to you.
Or, alternatively, look in your mobo manual for a diagram detailing what pins are what, and plug the cables straight onto the board.
EDIT: Just read you got the board from another PC. So really your best bet is to attach directly. There /SHOULD/ be a diagram as I mentioned above in the manual.
on the board itself, bottom right hand corner, there should be a block of pins, and if you read the text, it *should* say like "pwr swtch" and "hdd LED" and stuff like that, you then attach it to the apropriate colours
Thanks Duke and ionicle, yes i think I can connect them to the pins direct. I also have a black HD audio cable coming from the PC Case as well. It has a block on of about 9 holes and also connected to that is about 11 fine wires. Do I need to connect some of these wires to something.
