:mad:Hi,i'm new to this posting business but here goes.
I just built my first PC,with knowledge gleaned from many of the OC3D posts and TTM videos .I am also new to computers so I am out of depth here.
Anyway I built the PC and the specs are at the end of the post, installed the windows 64 bit pro OS.
As I was downloading the important updates from windows I was checking the event viewer after each install and up to a point I had no errors in the EV. I was still running on the default driver for the display-Asus PB278Q ,I decide to load the driver for the Asus GTX780 direct 2 oc from the disc that it came with and there is another after it on the web site.
When I go to install the driver I get notice"a program is asking your permission to blah blah" Explorer EXE ,publisher unknown , origin-hard drive on this computer.
After installing the driver I look in the EV and theres a heap o f errors and warnings .So I start again and get to that point with no errors and this time I go to install the windows NVIDEA driver, same notice same result, errors in the EV.Can anyone enlighten me as to what's happening here ,thanks.

It's normal to get errors in the event viewer.
If the program asks for administrator privileges, you will get a box asking you if you accept to run a program with administrator privileges, again it's normal, i don't think i ever saw a driver that does not ask for administrator privileges.
I guess you came from Windows XP, were UAC was not so sophisticated.
