support forum?

Erm, there's not really any point to that. This entire forum is divided into sections based on components involved and such. All you really need to do is post your problem in the section appropriate. Keeps things organized a lot better. Pretty much every major computer/technology forum is organized in a similar fashion

I sort of agree here, a WHOLE computer support forum would be useful. For instance, im planning to post the parts for a comp im planning to build, to see what helpful advice people have, and its gonna end up in off-topic or show it off im thinking.

surely that would go under the 'projects' subforum?

Give the man a cookie

The current layout is a product of several reshuffles and is pretty much perfect

If you really cant figure out where something should go, put it the best place you can find and leave a note for it to be moved by a mod

There are two ways to interpret what i meant, so i suppose it's understandable that some folk will grab the wrong end of the stick!

to clarify;

a forum to support people in using the forums - people experiencing difficulties using the forums!

it was, after all, just a suggestion!

nothing's perfect! if oc3d were not looking to improve things, then they would not have a suggestions forum, would they?

aha

like a book that teaches you how to read :D

sorry :p

Nah I was thinking the same.

Cept a forum section entitled "Post in here if u can`t post".

That`s being silly tho, I know what he means, but in all honesty I don`t think OC3D would have a section dedicated to this - however if the op wants to post a demo-guide-to-forums, it could be considered as a sticky somewhere ?!?!
