Hello guys,
I thought it might be fun to post some of my favourite older builds here, so here is the first one I will post.
This is the second build that I did in my old Sunbeam acrylic case that I got back in 2004.
Motherboard: MSI 875P Neo
Processor: Pentium 4
Memory: 1GB OCZ
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD 2600 Pro AGP
Hard Drive: 2X Seagate 160GB IDE
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live!
PSU: Ultra Xconnect in Metallic blue | Some generic grey one
Fans: 2X Antec UV Green, 1X antec clear 80mm
The Sunbeam case that i had was one with gold PCI brackets at the back, which i liked, gold screws, blue tinted roof , motherboard side panel, and optical drive covers.
I understand that there is absolutely no cable management and I didn't even try for this build either, but this is still one of my favourite builds I've ever done. There is just something about the bare multi colored power cables all over mixed with the fairly modern looking red msi motherboard put together with the acrylic case, which i've always had a soft spot for. The end result is something that I really adore.
Here are some pictures from the build process

With the power supplies, as you can see the ultra one is pictured here at the beginning, but is then replaced with a generic gret one with unsleeved cables.
Over the years, and I still don't fully understand why, but we had i think 5 of the orignal 2 connect PSUs, at least 3 of the Xconnect 2s, and 2 X3 units. Every single one of those save 1 X3 unit has since died, and none of them lasted very long at all. In a couple cases they also killed all the hardware in my dad's computer when they did die.
Needless to say I would not go anywhere near an Ultra product these days.
But in this case I'm actually glad the blue metallic XC unit didn't work out because like i mentioned the grey PSU with the colored cables played a big part in my love for the aesteic of this build. I never really liked the look of the XC cables, even at the time, and I still don't.

You can see the Thermaltake Tsunami Dream box in this shot, I will make a log on my Tsunami Dream build later on.

The MSI motherboard I thought was nice looking for it's time. I think it came out around 2003.

these 80mm fans were so loud, and i had them all at full speed all the time. i also has something which was called vantec tornado or something like that and it was like 50db i think it was ridiculous

The little MSI fan had 4 multi colored LEDs in it when it was on

This was the loudest cooler i've ever heard when it was on full-- it had a controller panel at the back you could manually set the speed. I also had green UV IDE cables from mutant mods
