Suggest me a new case...

I would like to start a new watercooling project, but will have to replace my current case to allow me a little room to breath - Carbide 500r.

Before this, I had a Coolermaster CM690-II adv, which had a little more room for a loop. I was able to fit two XSPC rads - an RX and an RS.

What would you suggest I go for? I am tempted by the new CM690-III that is out soon.

I don't want to spend more than about £150 unless it would really make a benefit.

Switch 810 is still a great case! Or Phantom 630 which is pretty similar. Maybe if you're willing to wait a while see what the Parvum lot have got in the pipeline

Yeah I have been tempted by the Switch/Phantom. Would it make sense to go for the larger Phantom though? Is there any better cooling potential from it? I know it is more expensive - but if it is worth the extra then I would rather do it than wish I had later on down the line.

I would really love the FT02, but not sure how easy that would be to watercool. I am guessing it would cost a lot more due to the 180 radiators?

I should have stated in the original post that I would like to build the system as quiet (if not silent) as possible.

For silence maybe consider the H630. It's basically the 630 internally but designed with a bit more silence in mind. I think fractal offer some good quiet cases too

In relation to your question, i'm pretty sure i've read somewhere tat people see the 630 as what the phantom 820 should have been. It's only realy missing the hue lighting system otherwise it's pretty identical

Fractal Deisgns Arc Midi R2 can do watercooling nicely. As an owner of the R4 though watercooling will be a bit quite hard but still doable.

Switch 810 is still one of the best watercooling cases for the price in my opinion :)

900D just got one this thing is amazing had a switch 810 before it now feels tacky compared to the 900D.

I just got a switch 810 and love it.... heaps of potential!

I was struggling to choose between it and the Corsair 750D both very similar in price so that may a good option for yourself.

Personally the cheaper of the two is what i would get. I have seen the 750d on sale for same price but 80% of the time the Switch 810 is cheaper.

If they were the same price i would go for the 750d... Those ssd mounts are freaken awesome for a rig with all ssds(mine for example).

Just got a 750D with a 360 x 60 in the roof and a 280 Monsta with push/pull in the front.
I have to say its a brilliant Case for watercooling without mods.
Installing a 60mm thick Rad with a single Set of SP 120's is a tight job, but it works.
Very silent Rig with a lot of potential.

I just installed the 3TB HDD on the backside of the MB tray , fits perfect.

I just built in Two EK XTX rads into a Switch 810. I can only recommend this case. Otherwise go with the Corsair 750D. Great case :) Look em up

I have got a Switch 810 and its pretty decent but.... not really impressed with its build quality, it’s a bit too plasticy and it’s not as strong as i would have hoped. I have the white version which looks great but gets mucky quite easily (have to give it a quick wipe every couple of days). For the money it’s a fantastic case but if you want something solid get something else.
