Students Can Get Windows 7 For £30

I am a big fan of Microsoft charging the prices for student to the price of snow leopard since most of Apple's business is in the younger corwd anyway. I grabbed 64-bit professional and for both my school laptop and current build.

ok ime a student,running vista homepremium 64bit will this be a digital download or will i get sent a disc,also is it a upgrade to windows 7 home premium or will it be a clean istall as you would if you bought a OEM from say scan (if it comes as a disc).

but yer i wanna get this for £30 also is it the same price for both versions?

Its a download. You can pay a little extra to get a 'Backup disc'.

If you order 7 pro then you can install from scratch. My DVD appears to be in good working order at least.

i take it as its a clean install itle download as an iso and you just burn it to a disc even tho its like 20gb lol

The file is only 2.03Gb big.

The RC was smaller than that.

I have Windows 7 Professional.

I had to since on the website it states that you can upgrade from 32bit to 32bit only and the same with 64bit.

Hmm, we'll after burning to dvd i installed my 64bit over a 32bit xp via custom and formating the drive.

Not seen if it will take the key without having a hissy fit yet though as it was installed just to test the DVD.

Gah! I can't do an upgrade!

Thought I might get lucky and do an upgrade, and not a custom, installation and in order to do a custom installation, I need to back up all of my data!

Now I need a new hard drive. Or want a new hard drive lol.

Shall I make a new thread as there are too many choices in the hard drive section of Scan and such?
