Students Can Get Windows 7 For £30

Hmm. I think from the frontpage it doesn't like the £. Or I'm too quick off the mark.

£30 would be excellent, assuming it isn't just the home edition. My daughter is a student :D

wth. I posted this before Stoba yet he gets there before me... :(

Anyways, I wonder if you can buy more than one copy. If so then I'll just ask my cousin to buy me one as well. :p

So now when the police arrest me for loitering outside the local catholic girls school, I've got a valid excuse.

In other news, anyone a student and doesn't want to take advantage? Or anyone know how to get your own acuk email?

VB - too poor to not ask these things

I don't think there is a way. You'd have to find a student who didnt have a pc or want the upgrade and buy it from them :rollingla

Or sit outside a uni and l33t h4x the wifi or something :p

yoink, that'll do nicely. best od some reading first. Im pretty happy with vista 64bit and have just let windows 7 wash over me so far

What if your upgrading from Windows 7 beta? :p

No longer a student but my email still works so hell, Im giving it a go!! If you need a license key to prove your upgrading though Im gonna have to dig out a load of old boxes and have a good rumage for my XP one! :(

:@:@ I can get a copy with this laptop for £30.... so much for a free upgrade.

Anyone want a license lol...

Yeah second thoughts, you can have this copy. I will get professional...

Son of a diddly, I already preordered it for £49 before I knew about this! At least I'll be getting a full retail version. Perhaps I could sell it on.

Damn already got a pre-order of the full Professional for £89, wonder if I can stick the £30 version on an eeePC :D

I'd like to see all OS manufacturers provide a 2/3/4 (course length), even if it's a real basic version, free to proven students, say equal or under 21. Proven every year or something.

Old people can pay the discounted price :p

Older people can pay full like the leeching tax-dodgers they are :p

hehe

Be nice tho.

So I can upgrade a vista x64 license to a windows 7 license?

Its not an upgrade as in install vista then install windows 7?

Just literally get the disk, and upgrade my current serial key so that it no longer works as a vista key but now a windows 7 key?

Ive been thinking about this too... will we be getting the full retail versions for £30? And are both home and pro £30 or will there be a price difference?
