Stop antivirus deleting USB files

Not sure you can do much, other than setting the usb stick to read-only (some have a lock switch) or getting into sophos to set an ignore list.
I'd guess you'd need read+write access to run the server tho so read-only probably wouldn't work. Also the antivirus would just stop it from executing by denying access to the infected file

I will point out sophos is a horribly un-customisable piece of uselessness.
That's why education bodies love it.
I too would say try read only, but that might stop it working.
I've had sophos on this machine - uni gives it out free - and it never detected and 1.6 stuff as a virus. It's probably because it tries to run a server.
Best thing you could do is get a laptop with it on, or find a privalidged username, as they are sometimes immune to AV scans

We cant connect external machines into the system - and im not going to try

Making launch of HLDS impossible.
We cant start a server from within the game - well most people can join but random accounts show the "invalid cd key" error. Using HLDS can remove this problem by turning off anti cheat/VAC - Unless there is a way to turn off anti cheat by console?
