I like how you have gone for the Computing companies, I will do the same.. :D

my dad had invested in somethings for me since i was born, but little more than two years ago i told him id like to get more involved, did some research and picked up some stocks. sold the other ones he had got for me to get these. since buying, it has been up and down, amd about the same as i paid, sandisk down 27% since buying, nvidia up 100% since buying. boeing and microsoft were purchased in september, since then boeing has gone up 16.5% and microsoft has gone up 24.7%. im quite happy with how ive done.

edit: i am 16 years old currently

Nice, thats located right near me. I know a few people that work there, from what I'm aloud to be told some pretty cool stuff happens there.

any updates or advice about the subject of this thread.... planning on buying some stocks in the next couple of weeks.

I`d like to do this sorta thing as fun.

But I have no idea how little or much u need to dump into things, how fast transactions take place and what charges are in effect etc.

Be a kewl thing for me aslong if it`s all over the net and not loooaddss of paperwork etc.

Guess one of my banks would be a good start to read up.

from what i read, my bank will hold the "nomanee" account, so they do all the paperwork there end. Not sure how much they charge mind you, knowing first direct it's loads.

Read elsewhere that its about £10 a transaction.

People may think im sad, but ive just brought a book from the london stock exchange website :p

Do all the reading you can mate so you can make an informed decision on where your folding stuff is going. :)
