I still don't see the point.

Because it is helping to find cures to such diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinsons, Huntingtons and various other cancers, by using a worldwide network of computers to fold proteins which dedicated super computers can do but cost billions to build and run, so rather than that we network and use unused processing power which is just being wasted. Like Mmmblah said above watch the video and check it out for yourself.

Thanks to all of you for the front page article, props, and kind words!!

This has been a long time coming, I think i started folding around 15 years ago using F@H as a stability testing program for overclocking. As my competitive overclocking interest waned my F@H interest increased.

Originally I folded for Mad Onion so that definitely dates my earlier participation time frame :lol: Back then a work unit was worth 1 point, my how things have progressed in the folding world!
