Since you mentioned the PC Gaming is not dying in the article, you should have also reported on how the PC gaming industry is expected to earn 29 billion(USD) whereas the Console's are projected to earn 28 billion (USD), both are global sales, by the end of 2016. Which would translate to the increase Steam has been noticing the past couple years as it continues to rise in active members:)
Nice report nonetheless! 10million concurrent users is quite a feat, I wonder how the servers were holding up.. especially since it's Prime Time during Steam's Summer Sale.

Poorly in my experience. I had to keep switching between servers.

Same here. I had issues downloading Dying Light. Download would be 7MB for a few minutes, but go to about 500Kb after a few minutes. I had to keep switching my download server and restarting the client.

That is only a bit slower than my usual/regular download speed ^_^ Though I won't be buying anything this year, well unless FF8 goes on at 50% or 66% off. I can actually get fibre in my area now I should give it a look I guess.
