SeekaX, it's the first question of the dialog which asks if you have a microphone etc.

Wraithguard, if they want such info they can get it from here. Prebuilt PCs have names like ASUSTeK Computer Inc under computer name. Laptops can be identified from chipset.

I've literally never gotten that.
Well you can upgrade your pre built pc, it then still says asus tek in the signature but it's not pre built anymore.

All I was merely saying is that maybe they could give us an Option (Laptop, Stock or Custom) when they ask us to do a hardware survey. It would help us greatly when viewing reports and give them clearer results. It just seems with the lists they've drawn up there's very mixed results right across all boards i.e. the top DX9 card in their list is the nVidia 6100 I wasn't even aware you could still buy these the last time I saw one it was AGP slot :huh:

just remember, a lot of people still game on older computers. most of the hardware still in use today isnt available on the market any more. most people buy a pc and keep it until it no longer works, which can take years. not everyone goes out and upgrades on a monthly, or yearly basis. so seeing the 6100 as the most popular DX9 card is not surprising at all.

It is to me, Jeff. I used to own a GeForce 8600 GT. I can't even remember how many years ago... It worked fine, but it's a LONG time ago. And this card is a fair bit newer than the 6100 I presume.
