VALVe is apparently being held to ransom, or more correctly their customers after sensitive information was taken right from under their noses.

Like the dude in spiderman said, with great power (in this case hacking ability) comes great responsibility, if that basement dwelling nerd leaks credit card details he needs a serious slap. He's proven he can do it, no need for anything more.

I kinda expected reports to come from all kinds of sources with mixed bits of correct and incorrect informations. I hope M gets himself spanked as much as Valve.

A word on checking u`r cc statements - people, u should be doing that anyway! I checked mine last month and found 3 errors - easy to find cos I don`t use it much, which included a cash withdraw of £79 ??? a charge for doing so and then a credit for £79. hehe figure that one out. Anywho, after some embarassment for them they credited me What I should have done is payed off the balance and told em after - let them figure out how to put a cc account in credit lol.

if they find him he prob will tbh. Problem is when he gets out again MS will offer him a job.

The guyz that did this originally (word on the grapevine if u like) went straight to Valve and kinda-half expected this to not be an issue anymore.

It`s like alot of these exploits, they`re found - the firms are informed - and after a long while the information is pd within the dogpile.

Once in a blue moon, a firm doesn`t do anything, or does something they think will solve it, and months l8r when a nOOble gets hold of the doc on them and tries it - they find it still works (or works with a little change).

Only the nOOble thinks they`re king of the world and have to tell every1 now! Hacker wouldn`t post about it. A hacker would know how to retrieve their locked/deleted forum posts for another thing.
