Steam Deck now has over 8,000 Playable or Verified Games

As cool as this is and honestly quite an accomplishment, I still don't know one person who owns one.

friend of mine has had his about 6months with the dock and he doesnt play his PS4 anymore.

it's a decent device but like anything needs a use case otherwise it'll just sit idle.

Just one example. I mean yeah if you were young and you went out a lot I can understand why you would use it. Otherwise though? my mates all have gaming PCs and at worst, a PS5 or something.

My retroid pocket gets little use unless i'm away from home, so i know i dont need one, but not all are the same but it makes far less sense if you have a PC.

For my friend he takes it to work on trips away etc and is holding off on PS5 etc only has a budget laptop so with the dock it keeps him happy, plays mainly retro style games.

I think it's a good device it's just a case does it fit into your life, like most handhelds last one i had that i used a ton was a nintendo DS but that was some years back now.

As good as it is i just can't get one as i'd not use it enough, regardless of how big my steam libary is i'm on my PC and not away enough to need one.

if however the price dropped a ton then i could see myself getting one and most likely will at some point.
