Hmm.

The DDC-Ultra looks a treat fitted there but....I am unable to get the tube run to feed into the pump from the res without the folking stuff kinking...

Does this look ok??

Looks fine to me, cant really tell from that angle though...

Beautiful job so far, on my first H20 Build I had a bend that was very tight. I used a radiator bypass hose for it.

I could ditch the FDD and fit my data drive up in a 5.25 bay thus freeing up room in the HDD cage at the bottom of the case. So I can keep raptors and pump at the bottom...

The pipe run is much better that way....

Yep much better - you don't want kinks like that in your loop.

Dunno about having a pump and a HDD right next to each other tho??....

hmm another issue would be lower flow rates.

ideally i need the res to feed the top of the pump....

solution = put ur pump @ the top of ur res on the 5.25 bay. or from gpu/chipset to res to pump

Seriously tho....looks like I may have to get a new res because the pipe routing as is with the dual danger den Fdd bay is a no goer....

Am gonna get rid of the dual 3.5 inch res

And get a 5.25 bay res....any advice thoughts on whast to go for? I am considering a black or clear xspc one.

xspc res serves me well - easy to fill, decent design... Have you seen that sexy res by ek, someone is using it in their projects..

edit: btw it isn't a bay res but it's nice, a1_01 is using it, I want one!

yes it could have a fillport, h/e if u have it 3/4 full or so this is the effect.

Update: no sexeh pics for now....but ordered the following today/yesterday:

2 EK 8800GTX blocks with acetal backs from the good man Ayd at SpecialTech (awesome customer service I might add!)....

1 Petra's top for my DDC Ultra pump....ordered from the OC3D newbie retailers WatercoolingUK, first time I've ordered from them and the service looks schweeet! (thanks for the prompt reply to my pm lads).....

All 3 items will be arriving tomorrow.....I will post pics up tomorrow night. The bad news is I am travelling to Lyon for 4 days with work as of the small hours of Thursday morning so will be unable to start the build until next week....
