hoping to receive case towards end of next week. PA120.3 rads are like gold dust at the moment so that may delay the build a little...am considering a VFCD for the front of the case....and am gonna change my res from a dual FDD bay res to something else....any thoughts guys?

Good choice for case, LiLi's are absolutely unbeatable. Timeless designs.

Frag is always here to export hard to find goods in the UK too, keep that in mind :)
 
Hehe, I love those doors. Have two mahself, only using one since I only run one optical now.

Cant wait to see the rest!
 
Anyone had experience of the Matrix Orbital displays?

Are the repak bay res's any good? They do a nice black one with perspex front fitted with nice silver allen bolts holding the res front in place.

@frag - thanks for the offer bud...let me know if you can source something which would warrant being in the build spec.

@mark - no thanks on the coolermaster display bud.
 
I think you can buy direct but CrystalFontz is where it's @ for a bay LCD, nothing can touch em mate. I highly recommend it.
 
can you link me to some decent displays as I aint got a clue which are the better ones in the range...

Am considering adding the northbridge to my cooling loop. Could cause an issue thos due to the labyrinth of heatpipes on my striker extreme motherboard. Any suggestions guys? Could I add a small chipset cooler to the southbridge or should I be looking to H20 this too?
 
After trying watercooling on my NB I would say a good air cooler would be better tbh. Maybe try to squeeze a decent CPU cooler on there?

have been looking at the crystalfontz site and am unsure. What plugins are available/software for the display unit?? I am liking the dual 5.25 bay display big time...but perhaps I would be better off with one with buttons on it??

Any thoughts guys??

it will cost a lil more than a 3rd party heatsink, like kempz said air should be fine, its all in ur intrest, the benifits are mearly keeping it down a few degrees lower and it might change the temp in ur case by a hair, h/e it will slow down the flow in ur watercooling. if u want style and have a good pump id go for watercooling the NB.
 
There's a load of stuff you can do with the Crystalfontz, it just requires a small time. I know for sure there's a Foobar2000 plugin and Winamp/Speedfam/MBM5 plugins
 
ive just downloaded the latest version of the alphacool software, will let you know if there is anything added since the review i did
