Put's my old reliable Pentium 1 32MB ram 2GB harddrive after compression to shame (that machine was pretty high up in 1997... cost more than £1000). It lasted me until 2000...

At least that machine had SCSI HD setup , my first rig besides commodore 64 was 486 SX 25 with 200mb hd(400mb with compression) used to play Biomenace if i remember it right and then uninstall it ( delete it ) then install another game to play it

My very first machine was a 286, with a whole 128mb harddrive space! It had Wolfenstien on it (I had a Commodore 64 before that though... and there was a shop that sold games for it!)

My first gaming rig in 98 was from Tescos lol, with 64mb ram, 350 P2 and a 4gb hard drive lol with an Ati Rage Pro Turbo 8mb. Was £899 too

That case is pretty good for its time. Meh its a 440LX/ZX that was a crap chip, the BX rocks to this day.

My Fist Pc was a 166mhz pc with 64mb ram and 1gb hdd

then upgraded to a 650mhz Amd Duron with 512mb ram and a 10gb hdd

then upgraded to a 2ghz Sempron with 1gb ram and 120gb master drive and a 60gb slave

you'd be amazed at the amount of people come into our shop and say "Our computer is really slow, it used to be fast" On further inspection its the same spec as above and they've tried to install nis2005 on it :S

Im just looking forward to the day when we dont see machines that old. Or any machines with Windows ME installed. but thats another story.

I remember having a zx spectrum, then an amiga 128, then a 90mhz (turbo) pc . Oh how that button was just agood sales pitch. Still it used to play The legend of Monkey Island ok.
