7700K and MSI Z270 Gaming M7

OK so I'm just starting to play with it and I set vcore in Bios to 1.225 and multi to 45 for starts (stock auto vcore on initial boot was 1.160)(where my 6700K was 1.290) Anywho I ran a few mins og XTU to see what it'll do and I was shocked that the vcore under hardware monitor and cpu-z showed 1.016 with my 4500MHz speed locked in. Am I missing something here?? or does it appear I WON??? (so far)

I verified the 1.225 vcore thru command center and bios as well.

Get the LLC - load line calibration dialed in right (although afaik MSI are still pants at it)

Make sure youre on the latest bios too

You want the volts underload to stay as close to bios volts as possible

then you can try and turn the bios volts down if your cpu is capable and then youll know that from there on out if the multiplier goes up the volts will need to go up too

Will do it was just a quick let's see what it'll do run thought ok my 6600k needed 1.325 fit 4.5 let's see if this 7700k likes 4.5 at 1.225

I just felt it weird that bios was set at 1.225 and the monitoring programs showed it a lot lower

ok so been playing with the LLC a bit and no matter what I set it at in bios when I boot into windows and load hardware monitor it show alot lower. But when I reboot into bios after the changes I see the changes. I also set the CPU/GT LLC setting to over-ride as well thats when I noticed more stable between the two but again hardware monitor and cpu-z show the 1.016- 1.125 numbers. I was able to run at 5GHz using 1.365 vcore but as I'm using a single 360mm rad due to case limits and I like it quite I dropped it back to 4.6GHz and 1.275 vcore but still seeing how much lower I can go on the vcore.

I have delidded the cpu now as well but still seeing temp spikes I'm thinking maybe I went to soft on the cool labs ultra. gonna take it down again and retim both cpu and die.
