Have just been reading about this here and here and the problems some people are experiencing with yet another copy protection nightmare. Thankfully I don't seem to have this installed, but it seems many have and had no idea why their dvd burner stopped working.
When will they learn we don't want this shit, and it doesn't help anyone?
Unfortunately, it's a guaranteed certainty that this type of shit is going to increase. I think the publishers and game houses have had enough of losing money through pirated and P2P software allowing 'free' versions of their games on the net. I think that in their desperation to stop this loss of revenue, they have made a deal with the devil by resorting to this kind of copy protection software. Although techies and gamers alike will do what they always do...circumvent the problem or buy elsewhere I guess
