An i3 Skylake as minimum ? Seems very odd considering gaming wise there isn't much between Ivybridge, Haswell and Skylake and it's odd that a CPU that literally just came out is the bare minimum

Must be a marketing strategy between them and Intel.

Unfortunately I can't run it because it doesn't have a server browser. I skipped on BF3 and BF4 for the same reason and I'm gonna skip this one as well. A multiplayer game absolutely, positively MUST HAVE an in-game server browser for me to even consider purchasing it.

So won't run on 32 bit operating systems? Must exclude a huge number of potential players.

Not really, PC gamers will mostly be running on Windows 7 64-bit and above.

16GB recommended is a bit high though.

Remember that the most recent steam survey almost has windows 10 64-bit use at 25% for PC gamers.

Of course they did, it ran in the browser... and it worked, it's just how their technology works, it's a case of suck it up. I don't think people quite realise what a technological marvel Battlelog actually was/is from a web development standpoint.

And this isn't a battlefield title, the experience is different, I don't actually think it needs a server browser, but I'm still reserving judgement. At least you choose the gametype IN the game instead of in the browser this time around.

It's about time games started breaking the 32bit memory barrier, we've got the memory, use it! :)

32bit systems should not even be considered a suitable target for a game of this size. Less than 2GB address space is just not reasonable.

I actually like Battlelog, It feels clean and everything is within reach :)

Not good enough for me. If others can tolerate it that's fine. But I can't.

Besides, some rumors are saying that the game is a mess. They are only rumors, but this is EA so caution is advised.

I have a feeling moving forward then you will have an extremely small amount of multiplayer games to choose from as more and more will go the browser route which if you look at it logically is not really any different to choosing your server ingame, You have to do it in a browser, Big whoop, It takes an extra 2 seconds to load up your browser ^_^

I've been on 64bit W7 (and now 10) at home for yonks but work is 32 bit (and only relatively recently migrated from XP) but hey thats an enterprise thing. Stuck with expensive, limited software.

Think I missed a few years there somewhere. Blonde moment... it is still 2008 right?

I cant meet many of the requirements but like another said it's not like ill play it without a server browser where i choose where to play, I hate matchmaking systems and just makes me feel like the developers are saying the PC does not matter as much as consoles.

As someone that's just *made* a matchmaking system, for PC, I can assure you, that isn't the case.

Remember how in battlefield 3 and 4, anyone, with any rank/unlocks/experience can join any game with noobs galore?

Remember all the server-side admin-controlled autobalance crap that meant you can't play with your friends for long (if even a single round)? That was all in the hands of the people that bought the servers and third-party add-ons etc?

All the spammy admin messages, banhammer happy admins, and other stupidly enforced rules that took large chunks of content and meant people couldn't use it?

I never thought I'd say it, but BF3/4 with no server browser, I.E. You pick what you want to play, and on what map, then hit go... sounds better than the solution that it ended up being :S

I'll just pick up another 8GB of ram this week then I should be sorted as Dice said theres not much between skylake and haswell so I should be all good to go :D

Looks like I better put 16GB in my new build if this is what new games are going to start using. Hope the game quality is also bigger and better.

just a heads up - open beta starts on thursday, but you can start now if you can get an early beta access key (grabbed one on twitter earlier)
