SR-2 STACKER

Still a canny way to go but i just thought i'd show you this nice neat little hose routing from top to bottom of the chassis which turned out pretty good and a few other random shots of where things are at the end of the day
cool.gif

Got all the chassis back from powder coaters at lunch time today in totally flawless Carbon Black to match the Carbon Bitspower fittings and set about getting it built back up which is the bit i like best seeing it all come together.

Anyway, my life is currently on hold until i get this complete as it starts its journey to Germany for CeBit on the 22nd so best get my skates on

Got the top hand made bezel fitted to the top chassis with the power / reset and LEDs all mounted and grill installed.

Best part of the day though was hose routing both the motherboard / RAM loop and the CPU loop - both turned out really well considering the amount of hose involved so only the GPU loop to do which is pretty straight forward but still waiting on cards to turn up

but apart from that, i seem to be making good progress

I got to give my friends at EVGA a massive shout for getting me some graphics cards out at such short notice
smile.gif

They are the EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTW which fill up the SR-2 board real nice.

I'm just not sure if the Coolermaster 1200 PSU will be able to handle all four cards and as the chassis needs to be starting it journey to CeBit this weekend i simply won't have time to test so not sure what to do for the best.

I think the best thing to do is install them all and sort it out when it gets back home as it won't be running anything on the booth, just sitting there looking pretty.

Looks very nice though

I'm guessing Bitspower has a secret though i didn't end up using the BP logo for CeBIT i just thought i'd add some pictures as Vincent is a good man for getting me Carbon fittings at such short notice
cool.gif

With a bit of luck i should get the cards all plumbed in and get the system fired up tomorrow but for now just some random pictures

Just busy loading W7 and all looking good so far

Still got a bit of cable managment to do and get the vents and window installed into the side panels then make sure its nice and clean but i've got the weekend to do that.

Quick picture of work in progress.

Well that's probably just about the last of the pictures before it goes on its holidays on Monday.

All the vents mounted to the side panels and wiring almost complete and just the small 4:3" TFT to mount below the two reservoirs and double check everything is tight before it gets boxed up.

Got to say, i'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and just hope a few people stop by the Coolermaster stand at Cebit as it will be there all week from 1st March onwards but i'll makes sure to get a few pictures for those that don't make it.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who followed and especially those that posted as it makes it all worth while.

Well, it completed the first 591mile leg of its journey to Coolermaster HQ in the Netherlands safe and sound - lets hope they can get it to CeBIT in one piece
unsure.gif

For anyone who is attending CeBit and wants to see it first hand, it will be on show on the Coolermaster booth all week

Cooler Master

WORLD PREMIERE - fully loaded ATCS 840 SR2 is IN THE HOUSE! Quad SLI, SR2 board, duo Xeon CPUs, Silent Pro Gold 1200W, etc. Drop by the Cooler Master booth at CeBIT to see it in person and talk to the modder himself!

Got back from CeBIT late Thursday / early Friday and just having a quick look around to see if there was any feedback from the Coolermaster booth.

Some awesome pictures taken by Shoggy from Aqua-Computer and also a few of the booth babes from the Bit-Tech forum by bigkingfun

I got my hands on three Lamptron FC6 Fan Controllers with a red LED display which should look much more in keeping to the rest of the mod rather than the blue/green.

I was hoping that they would drop straight in to the original bezel i made but not a chance so i’ll have to cut a new bezel and have it powder coated to match...............as if i haven't got enough to do!

Still on the lookout for GTX 580 or 590's

I figured this system had sat in its box long enough so decided to fire it up and start trying a little overclocking.

I'm no wizard when it comes to overclcocking and only had a couple of hours spare to try a few settings so can't confirm if its Prime stable yet or if i'm doing it correct but i managed to run a few benchmarks nonetheless and i haven't blown anything up yet

Got there in the end and thanks for getting the go-ahead to post this on the forum and to everyone who took the time to get this far.

Since the initial log it was on show at i43 along with an older Cosmos Skulltrail mod last month........oh yeah and it came first place in the Coolermaster 2011 mod Comp

Anyway, final post i promise
rolleyes.gif

I just returned from Insomnia i43 last night, the UK's biggest LAN event where i had the older but still looking good Cosmos Skulltrail on the Aquatuning booth but without doubt the star attraction was this SR-2 Stacker which got some fantastic feedback and i was blown away by the amount of people who had actually followed the mod on various forums and came over to say Hi including Bex and also Ben from Scan who actually knew more about the build than i did so hats off to Ben who not only endured the drink induced me and Tiny Tom Logan from OC3D jabbering about case modding in general but was also good crack so hats off to Ben.

Without a doubt, the funniest thing of the whole weekend was Mick of Mayhem Dyes adding a little blue dye to Tiny Tom Logan’s apprentice can of beer while he was at the toilet and he honestly didn’t have a clue while getting these picture taken..........that was just comedy gold that was
laugh.gif

All in all though, another fantastic weekend with some great people........bring on the next one
