Square Enix is selling IO Interactive

IO Interactive has been dropped by their publisher Square Enix, placing the Studio up for sale after Hitman 2016 failed to meet sales expectations.

I think Hitman would of sold better if they'd have released a full game and not the episodes, I know that's what put me off getting it

Episodic gaming has been tried and it's been hard to implement. I don't think it's worth it. I liked the Hitman variation on the concept, but it didn't actually serve it. The game would have been just as good or sold just as well if it had been a full release. As a result it ended up being a quirky gimmick and nothing more.

I have very little respect for Square Enix and the way they handled Deus Ex Mankind Divided, specifically the DLC.
