nod32 will never enter my computer in any way WHATSOEVER, didnt do anything good for me when i tried xp64.

"dodgey pr0n sites" isnt the problem in this case ;), i have not done or visited anything for the last 3 weeks i deemed a possible problem.

it could have come through IE but then it would have to come either through microsoft or tomshardware which are the only places i use IE on.

security hole in firefox is possible but keep every software uptodate.

oohh forgot i use Ie to update my creative drivers and their might be the problem, creative is known to code "badly" :rotfl:

Spybot S&D, Lavasoft Adaware full, Xoftspy, X squared

tried spybot and went mental on it, keeped asking me every 2 seconds.

xsoftspy i do have but find very little info on what it actually do when set to launch with wndows.

will check on x squared and adaware.

EDIT:

is ewido any good ?

it took 2 hours to do a full system scan but found much not adaware personal xsoftspy or avg found.

i live by nod32 it catches tons of stuff nortons and others miss maybe the 64bit version sucks but 32bit is nice. Maybe try the windows spyware scanner it used to be decent.

ya it cant be fooled like others if you wanna see how bad your av is find somthing that is a virus nothing real dangerous. And carfuly hex edit it taking keynames and stuff out of it stuff like macfee and nortons no longer will detect it cause it looks like a new virus that they never seen befor. Were nod32 will detect it still.

Raven, I'm surprised that you didn't like NOD32. I think that if it were up to a poll between REAL computer users (not those silly noobs that read magazines like PC Mag, etc) around the world NOD32 would probably come out on top.

Out of the dozens of different AV's I've used NOD32 is the only one I would ever trust to be on my computer.

You should give it another chance man.
