Well after many months of near faultless use my pc has finaly developed one.
I can be sitting here playing a game, or have left it idling for 1/2 the day, and all of a suden the pc will just turn off. No BSOD or error mesages come up. And its done the same thing during memtest. This leaves me to belive its hardware rather than software.
Im thinking it could well be the PSU dying on me. My 12v rail that i can meter has always been low @ 11.9v. And recently the top half of the rig has stated making odd noises, althogh i can't pin-point it exactly.
Any thoughts as to if it could be anything else? Might i need a sink on my mosfets for example?
Add: Ive just rebooted and got a 'low power to graphics card' message from the nvidia drivers. I unpluged a CD drive, rebooted and that went away....
