In speedfan does anyone know which of all the temps are my cores? I have a dual core opteron 170 and can't figure out which are my 2 cores temps.

Can look vague, first 2 off the top of my head.

Might say pwn by the pwn temp, then HDx for drives and may even say something like Core at the bottom - not sure about that one.

Cpu temps show on the dash when u minimize ??

It says core and i believe that is my core but i have 2 cores and it only has one. Also yes it shows down the bottom but it only shows one temp.

Did you reinstall windows when you installed the CPU?? If you hit control+alt+delete does it show 1 or 2 cores? Did you install the AMD dual core patch?

Yes it does show 2 cores and i installed the AMD dual-core optimizer. In core temp it shows that i have 2 cores just fine.

I dont use speedfan as speed fans says my 6300 at 3Ghz is running at 20C and Intel TAT says it's running at 38C

You need to test about.. so push the CPU to 100% and see which temps rise.

That's what i did and the Core is what measures the temp for the core but there is only one core and not 2, but i just use the core for the temp. Thanks for the help guys.
